Discovering the Unique parking and TRANSPORTATION needs at the FOothills campus
In Fort Collins, CO, Colorado State University Parking and Transportation Services hired Creek Consulting to collect data and facilitate high-tension conversations regarding expanded services. The administration at CSU implemented new policy where Parking and Transportation Services had to expand its operations to cover the Foothills Campus, which members of the community responded to with various opinions. Creek Consulting was brought in to design and facilitate five sessions to gather information regarding parking and transportation needs at the Foothills Campus. Part of the process included discovering the unique needs of the faculty, staff, and students at the Foothills Campus through deliberative facilitation, and then relating these needs to CSU Parking and Transportation Services so they could best proceed. Creek Consulting created a process that captured the unique needs of the community by listening to input, concerns, and recommendations by the various stakeholders in the community.
After these five sessions, Parking and Transportation Services felt confident and had a better sense of direction toward their planning process based on the information we collected. Worthy of noting, Creek Consulting is one of the first to design and facilitate some of the public engagement processes that have been conducted at the Foothills Campus.
